📣 As of this afternoon, we are excited to announce we are back up and running 🙌
🙏 A huge thank you to the following for all your assistance over the preceding days.
👷 Steve, Anthony, Andrew and Matt for all your work electrical fault finding, sourcing parts, installation and programming the new PLC and expansion modules.
📮 Mark from Pambula Post Office for chasing up our delayed delivery and doing what you could to ensure we could minimise further delays.
💻 Nigel from the BVSC Water & Sewer team for your PLC and programming knowledge.
🛟 Our BVSC Aquatics team for all your work behind the scenes, cleaning, undertaking general maintenance, admin and communications, to pull this all together and prep the facility for re-opening.
✅ We aim to reopen tomorrow morning as normal at 10am (Sunday 31st May).
🙏 Thank you all for your patience and understanding during this time.
❗️Please note, the pools may be a little cooler than normal as we regain temperature over the coming days, however we can meet our filtration and water quality requirements to reopen.

Amazing! Well done team - great news 👏
Yay that's awesome news
Great work guys, looking forward to the reopening 😊
Great news
👏 YAY, well done everyone involved 💦💦💦
Yay excllenent news
⚠️ Unfortunately, after over 2 hours replacing the failed components and 3.5 hours of diagnostics/ configuration, the pool systems have not been able to restart.
❌The swimming pools at Sapphire Aquatic Centre will remain closed tomorrow (Saturday 30th May).
❌ There will be no swimming lessons Saturday 30th May.
👷♂️Our electrical contractors will be returning to site early tomorrow morning to try and resolve this issue and hopefully get us running again.
🗓️ At this stage, Sunday may be the earliest we can now open the pools, however this is dependent on the above.
Day by day updates and we hope to have better news soon.
We were optimistic as a straightforward replacement was predicted; however, unfortunately this has not been the case.
We apologise for this inconvenience and thank you for your patience

Sending positive vibes for a successful day today 🤞 We appreciate all the updates - you are doing a great job 🙏
While the electrician is there - any chance of them installing heaters in the change rooms? It’s ridiculously cold in there after you get out of the pool. The change rooms are so old and in need of updating, especially heating.
📣Exciting news!!
⚡️The required parts have just arrived, and our electrical contractor is en-route to install so we can get our swimming pools operational again.
✅ Providing all goes to plan, we aim to re-open tomorrow morning as normal providing we can meet our filtration, water quality and heating requirements.
We will advise if we have any further issues or delays to re-opening.
Thank you for your patience and we can't wait to be back making a splash 💦

Sapphire Aquatic Centre Swimming Pool Update- Thursday 28th May.
💻 New parts have been express shipped and scheduled to be delivered tomorrow (Friday 29th).
⚡️Our electrical contractors are on standby to install once parts arrive.
❌ Swimming Pools will remain closed Friday 29th May. There will be no aqua aerobics, learn to swim or squad training tomorrow.
✅ Gym, dryland classes and squash courts remain open.
📅 Providing the installation and repair are straightforward (no additional components or programming required), we will potentially be able to re-open Saturday or Sunday, pending filtration, water treatment, heating to meet water our quality standards.
🪪 Please note, any programs/ lessons cancelled will be credited and memberships extended for days lost to the closure.
🙏 Thank you for your patience as we work through this and we will continue to provide updates as we know more.

Sapphire Aquatic Centre Swimming Pool Update- Wednesday 27th May.
⚡️Our electrical contractor has diagnosed the fault preventing the pools from operating.
❌ The swimming pools remain closed as we cannot operate the electrical switchboard due to a PLC computer failure. This failure prevents the pool pumps, heaters, chemical dosing and electrical systems from being able to run.
❌ There will be no aqua aerobics, learn to swim or squad training Thursday 28th May.
✅ Gym, dryland classes and squash courts remain remain open.
💻 Parts have been ordered and we are awaiting a delivery date.
🗓️ We will have reopening date once we know when parts will delivered and installed
💧Once operating again, the pools will need approximately 24-36 hours to ensure sufficient filtration, water treatment, temperature recovery and meet water quality standards.
📅 Until we have dates for parts and install, we will need to work off a day to day basis.
🙏 Thank you for your patience as we work to have this fault repaired and get the systems back up and running.
