Only the highest quality education programs are delivered to learn to swim students. These programs are based on Austswim’s industry standards and accreditation through which the Sapphire Aquatic Centre (SAC) personnel are qualified. Teachers at SAC continue to grow and develop their own skills so that they can offer the most current and effective way of teaching particular skills and concepts.
The squad program is developed from the rules and regulations as governed by FINA, the worldwide organisation who control the rules and guidelines with which swimmers can compete. Our coaches are accredited with ASCTA, the Australia body responsible for enforcing FINA’s rules.
At SAC we are passionate about educating both swimmers and parents through the demonstration and repetition of various safety techniques so that we decrease the chance of preventable drowning’s.

Sapphire Aquatic is pleased to offer its patrons both water based and land based group fitness classes run by our qualified and energetic staff. A range of classes run from Monday to Friday and a copy of the latest timetable is available under the ‘Classes’ section of the website.
Aqua Aerobics classes are scheduled Monday – Friday. There are two levels to choose from depending on your ability.
Aqua FIT is a high energy class in the 25 metre pool using water and resistance equipment to get your heart rate up to ensure you get a great workout with minimal impact and strain on the body’s joints.
Aqua LITE this class includes stretching and mobility exercises and is held in the warmer multipurpose pool. The class focuses on slow movements to stretch and lengthen the muscles in the body. Aqua Stretch is suitable for those wanting a low intensity workout, those recovering from injury or just wanting a good stretch. There is a maximum of 16 participants for the multipurpose pool, so bookings are essential.
In the Group Fitness Studio SAC has a variety of programs including Fit for All, Step, Strength and Pilates.
